Hocus Pocus 2, the long-awaited sequel to the 1990s iconic Halloween Disney movie, will finally be hitting Disney+ on Sept. 30. I didn’t get my hands on the first one in 2020, but I bought the entire collection last year, and it was well worth the money for die-hard fans of Winifred, Sarah, and Mary. This year’s collection is ColourPop’s final flight with the Sanderson sisters, and boy, did they deliver. The All Hallows Eve palette features a cartoon version of the sisters like in the past two collections, this time in colorful outfits that look similar to the ones they’ll be wearing in the sequel. They come in matte, matte sparkle, metallic, and pearlescent glitter finishes, so matter what eyeshadow look you’re going for, you’ve got options. A different witch inspires each jelly shadow: Come to Play (Sarah) is a warm violet, I Am Calm (Winifred) is an ivory opal, and Shish-ka-Baby (Mary) is a burnt copper. This mascara is named after the one, the only, Billy Butcherson! In the original 1993 movie, Winifred raises Billy–her unfaithful lover–from the dead and sends them after Max, Dani, and Allison. But he turns to the good side, helping the kids to defeat the curse and turn the witches to stone. Billy eventually wanders back to his grave to get some hard-earned sleep. The mascara is a “rich plum shade” with a nylon fiber brush that uniquely combs through lashes from root to tip, and a buildable formula that lengthens and volumizes.
Ready for the full moon? Find the Book is a shimmery highlighter made by ColourPop’s sister brand Sol Body, an ivory opal with gold and green duo chrome finish.
