It’s no secret that we at Wishlisted are huge fans of Lululemon. The retailer is a go-to destination for everything fitness, outfitting you for workouts, yoga, sports, barre, and even an afternoon running errands. Now we can add hiking to the list. Lululemon’s new hiking line, which dropped at the beginning of July, reinvents hiking apparel to make it utilitarian and fashionable.
The 33-piece collection has women’s and men’s styles plus gender-neutral accessories like backpacks, socks, and crossbody bags. Every item is designed to move with you, not against you, so that you can roam free. Camping, but make it cute.
Lululemon says the line is “rooted in balance” so you can immerse yourself in the outdoors and experience the peace and serenity that comes with exploring. The colors are inspired by nature itself, from Pink Clay to Ancient Copper to Laurel Green.
“We wanted this collection to be about the functionality lululemon is known for,” said Ben Stubbington, Senior Vice President of Design & Concepts at lululemon, in a prepared statement. “Elevated with adaptable details for outdoor adventures like packable, lightweight layering systems, fashion-forward aesthetic and colours, with abrasion-resistant, highly breathable fabrics.”
You can now shop the collection in stores and online, so sit back, stray awhile and keep reading for some of our favorite new pieces.
How aesthetic is this pattern? The Women’s Cargo Super-High-Rise Hiking Short has four-way stretch, comfy sweat-wicking fabric, and side pockets to slide your phone into. Reviewers say they’re perfect for hiking (obviously) but also reliable for your next gym workout.
Hydration is always the name of the game, and the Water Bottle Crossbody Bag makes that goal a lot easier. It fits most water bottles and has a cinch closure for safety and accessibility. The bag comes in a variety of colors, so there’s something for everyone.
Another dependable high-rise piece, the Women’s Cargo Hiking Skirt has storage galore, and a liner inside that protects from anything being see-through. The pocket is adorned with the words “detours welcome,” so you never need to feel bad about straying a little too far.
The LiftOS Hiking Backpack is one of the highlights of the new collection. It has internal organization, strapping systems, and a structured back panel that work together to ensure weight is taken off key pressure points. It’s also incredibly cool-looking, too, which is an added bonus. The exterior pocket is big enough to house a hydration bladder or 16-inch laptop.
